A big thumbs up to the Little Rock staff and all the people who came out to support me for the last challenge.

Pam and Wendy, I hope you can still look at me the same :-) A big thank you to The Nelson Mail and to Radio Works for following me on this journey also.

Hayden, Fraser and Duncan (Camera and Web guys) you guys have just been amazing and put so much into this project. We've had our great moments (including one major one last night) but we keep smiling we keep shining and that's what 30 fears has been about. Rising above things when they get tough, looking for the good things in any situation, believing that everything happens for a reason and just going 100% no hold barred until the finish!

Cinstar, Brendon, Sarah, Kay, Emma and everyone else thank you for your support I wouldn't have been able to get through this month without you. Niwa and Quanah I love you guys you're awesome.

Finally... make your list face your fears, it only took me 30 days. If I can do it you can do it, at the end of the day, it's just about doing it.

  2. Well done mate. When you talked about doing this to me in Nelson in June I could see that you were serious and positive about the challenge but I still wasn't sure how you would go....then that skytower jump on Breakfast TV and it was all on. you have achieved a lot for yourself and for others. I wonder what will be next!

  3. WOW I can hardly believe that this month is over. Altho when I look back over how much u achieved in this month it truely shows that there are no excuses for holding back and not working towards our goals! Thanku soo much for allowing us to come on this journey with you. You have challenged me to step outside my comfort zone (I don't think you realise how much) by modelling how it's done! You are a great ambassador for Discovery and it's fantastic that we have been able to raise money for such a worthy cause! I can't wait till October when I get to go on camp and experience it for myself (yes you are right it is definately going to be good for me). Altho this chapter may be over it is only the beginning of the next adventure and whatever that may be I know that you will make the most of it. I had the thought "what is the purpose of feeling fearful" and I have decided that it is our emotions communicating to us how much how important something is. The more fearful we are about it the more we must value it. e.g. if you are fearful about dying then it is because you value life soo much, or if you feel nervous in social situations it is because you value being with other people! I now have the attitude that when I feel fearful that is a great thing because it has given me insight on what is important to me and because it is important even more reason to feel the fear and do it anyway! You only regret what you don't do so am making my list starting right now! Enjoy your break you deserve it!!! Hugz Cinstar

  4. You have done a fantastic job the chairleader challenge was so natural you looked fitter than some of the so called profesional cheerleaders.I am sure you will get picked to go on other projects like extreme holiday destinations. Whatever you do i wish you all the best pity there are not more natural people out there.

  6. After this i will never look at you as Grant at Discovery You have taken me on a journey that has change how I feel about Discovery and what it does for people to watch you emerge into this man who will give anything a go means so much to me that you allowed us to see who you really are fun, energising, honest, fearful, amazing, inspiring, daredevi, letting the youth of this country know that anything is possible if you go for it a 100%. Take a risk just do it that the only things that is between us and our goals ia our own fear. Conquer that and anything is possible. Thanks again Grant your kids are lucky to have such an amazing dad they will never forget that their dad can do anything he puts his mind to Love
    Pamela,
  7. Fantastic, awesome, inspiring! What a journey! You're a star! And thanks so much to the 30 fears camp (you, the camera & web guys & all your other helpers) for allowing us to share it with you - we've had a blast too! Will miss my daily "Grant blog" fix but wish you all the best and know that with the experiences you have had and the knowledge & insights you have gained into your own psyche, you will continue to shine and inspire. Rock on Grant! You're a superstar! And, yes, started my fears list yesterday :-)
