Who is this Grant character?
Hi I'm Grant. I'm 32 years old and live in Nelson, New Zealand. I have two wonderful kids, Niwa and Quanah who are my inspiration. I work for the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology in the Marketing Team with my main focus being helping teenagers work out their career path. I would consider myself just a normal everyday NZ guy, I like rugby and a few beers, playing guitar and writing music.
Why 30 Fears?
After staffing on the last Discovery for Teens programme I decided to go on a journey to becoming comfortable being uncomfortable. To step outside my comfort zone everyday to see how that would change me as a person.
How did it all happen?
I took the concept of only having 30 days to live and doing something that scares you everyday and just put them together. Duo Media wanted to film it as a documentary, Radio Works and The Rock then became official media partner, website, newspaper, TV and the rest is history. I soon realised this was a great way to raise the profile and money for the Discovery for Teens Programme.
